Outside the inn

When the warm weather hits, Montreal blossoms. One of the seasons’ hotspots for tourists and locals alike is the Balsam Inn Terrace. As practical as this outdoor dining structure is--easy to mount and easy to store--it’s also esthetically considered, taking off on some of the architectural and technical principles developed in 2012 for the Dominion Square Tavern Terrace next door.

An outdoor expression of the Balsam Inn’s spirit and style, the terrace design harmoniously blends hand-painted steel elements with Ipé, a durable exotic wood that, if properly taken care of, will last for a century.
